RICHMOND - Governor Tim Kaine announced his environmental agenda for 2009 today, including an initiative to create green jobs as part of his Renew Virginia Program.

“Green jobs are the next growth opportunity in our economy,” said Rob Jones, executive director of VCI. “Virginia continues to offer leadership to move our country forward. I hope that our congressional leaders will follow Governor Kaine’s efforts and enact cap and trade legislation which will further encourage green initiatives and address climate change."
